7.4 Dismantling the smoke detector
• Turn the smoke detector counterclockwise to
remove it from the base plate.
• Remove the battery by disconnecting it from the
battery connection
• Store the smoke detector in a safe and dust-free
place if it is to be dismantled for a short time,
e.g. during renovation work, or replace it with
a new device
• Now carry out the assembly and function check
- as described in
5.2. Installing the smoke
detector
