Other Installation Methods

13.1.

Pipe Installation



Locate

the

sensor

in

a

straight

length

of

pipe

at

least

1.5

times

the

pipe

diameter

both

in

before

and

after

the

sensor.



The

sensor

should

not

be

exposed

to

large

debris.



Ideally,

the

sensor

should

be

mounted

in

a

horizontal

position.

The

Sensor

Adapter

(SD

‐

40

‐

010)

should

be

installed

in

a

2”

pipe

tee

fitting

with

CPVC

solvent

cement.

Route

the

cable

away

from

any

high

voltage

conductors.

Orient

sensor

(SD

‐

‐

000)

with

outlet

facing

perpendicular

to

flow.

Insert

the

sensor

into

the

Adapter

until

it

seats

in

the

Adapter

and

tighten

the

Retaining

nut

(SD

‐

to

seal

the

sensor

in

the

plumbing.
