9.1.6 Creating a custom scan file.
To create a custom scan file, the following format must be used:
1
st
pair (az, el) in the form
123.456
123.456
– both must be
zero padded
f7.3 format.
2
nd
pair
.
.
last pair
Example file: (3 pairs of coordinates)
340.004090.000
295.004072.000
025.004073.000
Save the scan data to any directory as a .txt file – it can be named appropriately to describe the scan pattern that it
represents. Many files can be produced and saved using this method.
Scan files can be loaded from any location, but are stored in the directory C:\Lidar\System\Scan parameters\ after
they have had the correct header prefix added for use with the control software.
Note:
The following files are generated by the scan schedule software in the correct format to be used by the control
software, and must not be edited. To avoid confusion and possible problems, ensure that the names given to your
own scan files do not overwrite any of the following:
stare.txt
vad.txt
profile.txt
user1.txt
user2.txt
user3.txt
user4.txt
user5.txt
