CLEANING PROCEDURE
Turn the Ventilator OFF. The piston will rise to the resting
position, generally set to be at the top of the piston cylinder
thereby exposing the orange silicone rolling diaphragm for
cleaning.
Remove the Y- Piece and the patient tubing. Disconnect the
pressure sensor line at the luer fitting.
Remove the pressure sensor tube
from the patient tubing by undoing the
4 Velcro retainers.
Remove the Y- circuit from the
ventilator. Flush & clean and hang to
dry.
Undo and remove the 6 thumbscrews holding the valve block
cover. Remove and clean the valve housing, disks and cover.
Remove the absorber pan. Place somewhere dry. Undo and
remove the stoppers at the end of the two back drains.
Clean the lower pan area and up inside
the piston cylinder. Leave to dry.
After cleaning and drying, re-assembly
is the reverse of the above.
MAKE SURE THE PRESSURE SENSOR
IS FITTED TO THE Y-PIECE BEFORE
TURNING THE VENTILATOR BACK ON
