Draining the fuel tank
It is recommended that the generator should be stored for a long time with
the fuel tank empty.
The fastest way to do this is by following the steps below:
1. Prepare a fuel container (preferably a canister) and a funnel.
2. Remove the built-in fuel filter after closing the fuel tap (turn the fuel tap to
the "OFF" position).
3. Place the fuel container with the funnel below the level of the filter and
the tank, then unscrew the tap carefully to drain the fuel remaining in the
filter, pipes and tank, control the blunt decanting to prevent spilling of
fuel around.
4. When the fuel is completely drained, reinsert the in-line fuel filter.
5. Store the spilled fuel in a suitable place, away from heat, sparks, flames, in
a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
