Before using
NOTE: Before using for the first time, switch the
appliance on for a few minutes.
As a result of the
manufacturing process, a slight odour may be produced.
This is not harmful and only occurs during initial use.
Ensure that the room has good ventilation.
Preparing your hair
•
The hair should be clean, dry and free of styling
products. Excepted are the special products that
support a straightening of the hair.
•
Comb the hair thoroughly before straightening so that
there are no knots in it.
•
To achieve an especially good straightening result,
spread special products for hair straightening through
the hair.
•
Divide the hair into manageable portions and secure
the upper portions to the head with grips so that they
do not get in the way.
Filling the water tank (see fig.1)
Before plugging the appliance into an electrical outlet,
fill the tank by removing it from the iron.
NOTE: Only fill the water tank if you wish to use steam
to straighten your hair.
1. Fill the supplied bottle with tap water.
2. Remove the tank, by sliding the tank-lock switch
toward the "
open padlock ” symbol, this will pop the
tank loose from the iron. (fig.1-1)
3. Turn the tank over and peel back the rubber cap at
the bottom of the tank to open for refill. (fig.1-2)
4. Insert the pointed cap into the tank opening and
squeeze liquid slowly into the tank. (fig.1-3)
