3.3 Menus and Parameters
System parameters are data that can be changed to affect the operation of
the instrument. Where possible in the display, a parameter label has been
placed above the parameter to identify it. Parameter labels can be quickly
identified as having only the first character capitalized. This distinguishes
them from Menus, which appear in all capital letters.
It is important to distinguish between the “Main screen” and the “Main Menu”
LCD displays. As the names imply, these are the two main screens from which
most of the meter’s activities originate.
3.3.1 Main Screen
The Main Menu screen (
) appears when set-point alarms have not
been set, system “check” error(s) have occurred, or some operator task being
performed via the front panel controls. The screen displays Date, Time,
Temperature, and Concentration of free chlorine. From this display the date
and time can be set, Fahrenheit or Celsius, and Parts Per Million (ppm) or
milligrams per liter (mg/L) chosen as desired (see

Main Screen
3.3.2 Main Menu
The Main Menu (
) is the starting menu from which all meter settings
and operations are performed. This menu is accessed from the Main Screen
(above) by selecting the
F
icon. To enter and configure any of the Main Menu
listings, (see

The Main Menu choices are RDG (Range), CAL (Calibration), ALM (Alarm),
VMA (Volts-Milliamp analog output), SYS (System), SEC (Security), and GEN
(General).
3.4 Accessing and Changing System Parameters
To access and change system parameters, use the supplied magnet to touch
one of the four operation icons located on the bottom half of the front panel.
Each of the four icons is described below.
3.4.1 Function Icon
Selecting the “Function” icon from the Main Screen (
F
) causes the Main Menu
to appear. Re-selecting the function icon at this point returns you to the Main
Screen. At any other time, the icon returns you to the previous screen and
aborts any parameter changes in progress.
