Verify that the fibers are correctly connected.
a.
Verify that the transmit interface of the local transceiver module is connected to the receive
interface of the peer transceiver module.
b.
Verify that the receive interface of the local transceiver module is connected to the transmit
interface of the peer transceiver module.

Verify that the cable, transceiver module, and fiber are operating correctly.
a.
Unplug the cable or fiber, and plug the cable or fiber to a port that can properly come up. If
the new port cannot come up, the cable or fiber fails. Replace the cable or fiber.
b.
Verify a transceiver module in the same way you verify a cable.
c.
For a fiber port, verify that the transceiver module type and wavelength match. When the
transceiver module label does not have the related information, execute the
display
transceiver interface
command.
