Parameters
member-id
: ID of an IRF member switch. The
member-id
argument cannot take the member ID of the
master. The value range depends on the current number of members and their member IDs in the IRF
virtual device.
Description
Use the
irf switch-to
command to switch from the master switch’s CLI to a slave switch’s CLI.
At the CLI of a slave switch, you can only display the configurations of the member switch and debug the
switch.
When you log in to an IRF virtual device, you are placed at the CLI of its master switch, regardless of from
which switch you are logged in. You can configure and manage the IRF virtual device only at the CLI of
the master.
When you switch to the CLI of a slave switch, you are placed in the user view of the slave switch and the
command prompt changes to
<Sysname-Slave#X>
, where X represents the member ID of the slave switch,
for example, <Sysname-Slave#2>.
You can perform the following commands at the CLI of a slave switch:
•
display
•
quit
•
return
•
system-view
•
debugging
•
terminal debugging
•
terminal trapping
•
terminal logging
