4.1 Initial Configuration
4.1.1 Setting Up the Environment
An IX1000 has five Ethernet ports, namely, one fast Ethernet (FE) port and four Gigabit
Ethernet ports (GE1 to GE4). As shown in
Figure 4-1 , the IX1000 is connected to a
client (PC in the figure) through an Ethernet cable. The NeoStor console enables you to
configure and manage the IX1000.
