Removing the interface card
CAUTION:
• Before you remove the interface card, remove the cable from it.
• If you are not to install a new interface card after removing the old
one, install a filler panel in the empty interface card slot. This
prevents dust from entering the switch and maintains good
ventilation in the switch.
To remove an interface card:
1. Prepare an anti-static bag.
2. Use the Phillips screwdriver to loosen the captive screw on the
interface card, as shown by callout 1 in Figure 4 .
3. Rotate outward the ejector lever as shown by callout 2 in Figure 4 .
4. Pull out the interface card slowly out the interface card slot as shown
by callout 3 in
Figure 4 .
5. Place the removed interface card in the anti-static bag.
