Main Wing Struts.

1. Build the assembly as shown on the plan and in the pictures. Make sure that you get the wing incidence rigging angle correct.
Upper and Lower Wing Dihedral.
1. Rig the model completely and adjust the flying wires to achieve the correct dihedral angles. The top wing has a dihedral angle of 1° each
side and the lower wing is 4.5° each side.
L. Finishing.
1. Once the model has been rigged and everything is checked and
adjusted dis-assemble the main components.
2. Give everything a final light sanding and re-check any screws and
nuts and bolts that will be hidden once the model is covered. You
can always put a little drop of epoxy on the side of the screw heads
to stop them undoing.
3. Before covering ensure that you install any servo extension leads
that are required as this will be extremely difficult to do afterwards.
Any hidden plugs and sockets need wiring or cable tieing together to
make sure that they cannot come apart.
4. Cover the model in a covering of your choice. Pre-colored iron-on
fabric covering is very popular or you can use nylon or silk and dope
for that really authentic finish, then spray on a scale color scheme.
Remember this is a large model with a lot of area to build up weight
if the finishing paint is applied too heavily. Spray with light, thinned
coats of paint to keep the weight down as much as possible.
