Button Descriptions
ON/OFF –
This button will start up and shut down the electronic scale.
TARE –
This button will zero the scale and display a ‘0’ value when the scale is
ready for use.
HOLD
– This button will hold the numeric value on the screen once the
patient has been removed. Only press this button once the weight value is
stable (not fluctuating). To cancel the holding of the value, press the HOLD
button a second time.
UNIT –
This button will allow the user to select in which units the
measurement will be displayed. Values can be shown in kilograms (kg),
pounds (lb), and ounces (oz).
Important Information
1.
Ensure the scales are placed on a clean, flat surface before every use.
2.
Do not use the scales in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
3.
Do not get the base of the scales wet or submerge it in water.
4.
Do not tap the screen or the buttons in a vigorous manner.
5.
When moving the scales, avoid dropping the base of the scales as
they contain high precision electronics and can damage easily.
6.
When cleaning the scales, only use a soft, clean cloth. Do not use
chemical solutions.
7.
Remove batteries if the scales are not being used for a long period of
time.
8.
Replace batteries when ‘LO’ is displayed on the LCD screen.
9.
If the display shows ‘ERR’, this means the scales have been
overloaded and the patient should be removed immediately.
