Operation of your Hand Mixer
Before using your hand mixer for the first time, wash the beaters and dough hooks
in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
Before assembling the mixer, be sure the power cord is unplugged from the power
outlet and the speed selector is on the “0” position.
1. Put the food you want to mix into a suitable mixing bowl and place the bowl
in position.
2. Choose the proper attachments and insert them into the mixer unit: beaters
are for mixing egg whites, liquids or a light batter; dough hooks are for
kneading dough.
Note:
The beaters are identical and fit in either socket. However, the dough hooks are
not identical and can only be inserted into their specific socket. The dough hook
with the washer only fits into the big socket and the other hook only into the
small socket.
3. Ensure the speed control is set to “0”, then connect to the power supply.
4. Slide the speed control to your desired setting for the mixer to start (see page 7 for
our recommendations). There are five settings. Depressing the TURBO button during
operation will increase the speed by 15%.
5. Do not use the mixer continuously for more than three minutes at a time and let it
rest for at least 30 minutes between two consecutive cycles. When kneading yeast
dough, we recommend you start kneading at a low speed and then increase the
speed progressively for best results.
Note:
Turning the mixing bowl manually during operation may improve your mixing
results.
6. At the end of the mixing process, turn the speed control to the “0” position and
unplug the cord from the power outlet.
7. If necessary, scrape any excess food from the beaters/dough hooks with a rubber or
wooden spatula (not provided).
8. To remove the beaters/dough hooks from the mixer, hold them with one hand and
press the ejector button down firmly with the other hand.
CAUTION:
Make sure the mixer is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet
before removing the beaters/dough hooks.
