When using the in
fl
atable seat, slide the wooden seat (9) into
the
fi
xtures (32) on the bottom side of the in
fl
atable seat (24)
- refer to detail F. Then, in
fl
ate the seat (in
fl
ating the screw
valve – refer to picture 2).
Attach the back rest of the in
fl
atable seat (24) with the thread-
ed strap (31) onto the back of the
fi
xture with the plastic buckle
(25) on the side cylinders – refer to detail G.
In
fl
ate the air chambers in the following order:
bottom (1), then the side cylinders (2). Use a foot pump or
piston pump with a valve adaptor for in
fl
ating - see Figure
2b (the adaptor is included in the glue set). Check the con-
dition of the valves before in
fl
ating. Set the valves in the
OFF position. Valve handling - Refer to Fig. 2. In
fl
ate the air
chambers until they are
fi
rm but not completely stiff. The air
chambers should provide a feeling comparable to squeezing
a ripe orange. You can check the exact operating pressu-
re by using a suitable pressure gauge (optional accessory)
– see Figure 2a. The valve assembly wrench – see
fi
g. 2c – is
an optional accessory. Below the front board, there will be spa-
ce for baggage, which you can secure against falling out with
the
fl
exible rope with snap hooks (16). The outboard engine is
mounted onto the transom (18) once the boat has been fully
in
fl
ated. When performing the assembly, avoid clamping the
fl
exible rope apron (21) between the engine's body and the
transom – see detail B. The battery can be attached to the en-
gine by interlacing the compression strap (used to hold down
the packed boat) with
fi
xtures (22) – see detail C.
ATTENTION
The maximum operational pressure in the air chambers
is 0.02 MPa. If the ambient temperature increases (e. g.
owing to sunlight), the pressure in the air chambers of
the boat can rise rapidly. We recommend releasing some
air from all air chambers of the boat after pulling it out of
the water. Possible destruction of the air chambers will
thus be prevented.
However, do not forget to continuously monitor the air
pressure in the chambers afterwards, too. A correspon-
ding reduction in operating pressure is up to 20% within
24 hours.
ATTENTION
When using the boat, always seal the valves with their
valve caps. This will keep dirt out of the valves. Dirt can-
cause leaky valve seals.
4. Using the Boat
RUBY XL is a universal, three-seat boat with an open transom
for a multitude of purposes (pleasure cruising,
fi
shing, etc.).
Whenever the boat is used on waterways, Waterway Traf
fi
c
Rules have to be observed. Operation of the RUBY XL in-
fl
atable boat does not require any licence provided that the
people who operate the boat know the techniques of small
boat operation within the scope necessary for its operation,
as well as the valid navigation rules of the particular country.
The design of the boat permits it to be operated in standing
and slow watercourse of dif
fi
culty grades up to WW2. To drive
the boat, use longer canoe paddles, oars or an engine with
a maximum power of 3,7 kW. While riding, all persons must
be seated in their designated positions and must be wearing
life jackets. If water becomes present inside the boat, remove
it by pulling the blanket with
fl
exible rope (21) beneath the boat
bottom level.

the rolled up boat, a user's manual with a warranty card,
a foam sponge, an adhesive set with glue and patches, a valve
reducer, 1 spare screw and a plastic nut, a mirror to fix the
motor +
fi
xtures, a 6mm hexagonal key.
SPECIAL ACCESSORIES: (may be purchased extra)

3. Instructions for Inflating the Boat
Unfold the boat. Install 4 stainless steel
fi
xtures behind the
mirror (18): Attach the stainless steel
fi
xture on the front of the
mirror with the reinforcement using the longer screw (35 mm)
with the smaller washer (8x24 mm). Fasten all stainless steel
fi
xtures to the mirror in this manner - refer to detail D. Then,
insert the stainless steel
fi
xtures on the mirror into the
fi
xtu-
res on the cylinder (19) and fasten using the shorter screws
(16 mm) with the bigger washer (10x30 mm) – refer to detail E.
Attach the splashguard with the rope (21) into the splashguard
fi
xtures (20).
Fasten the wooden seat (9), using the screws and plastic nuts,
into the
fi
xtures on the valves (10) – refer to detail A.
Thanks to the openings (29), the wooden seats (9) can be
used to fasten the
fi
shing accessories.
