Guldmann recommends that the Digital Scale be transported in its original
packaging.
5 .00 . Maintenance .and .storage
5 .01 . Cleaning
It is only necessary to wipe the apparatus carefully with a damp cloth. Never
use abrasive or caustic detergents.
5 .02 . Storing
The Digital Scale should be kept in a dry room
6 .00 . Battery
The digital scale is powered by four .5 V type AA batteries, and they have
a useful lifetime of approximately 400 hours. Lines will appear on the display
when it is necessary to replace the batteries, see section (3.04).
Replacing .batteries
Unscrew the right-hand cover and insert the battery holder with batteries (4 x
.5V - type AA), and make sure that they are inserted correctly as shown on
the apparatus! Press the tray into the battery aperture and screw the cover
on. The scale is now ready for use.
6 .01 . Disposing .of .the .digital .scale .and .batteries
Always comply with local and national rules. Batteries must always be delive-
red to an approved recycling depot.
