Dust Exhaust Branch
Fig. 19
•
Band saw has an extract branch. An
exhaust system may be connected to the
branch. .
Operator Safety Instructions
•
Prevent accidents. Use personal protection
equipment. Wear goggles, ear protectors, safety
gloves and safety shoes.
•
When sawing rounds, use a suitable aid to prevent
turning of the material worked.
•
A guide has to be fitted on the table lower edge to
provide for tilted table cutting. Before removing cut-off
pieces, switch the machine off.
CAUTION!
When working face up to the saw blade, never stand by
the side of the machine. Hold the material work firmly
with both your hands. In this way, you will be able to
conduct the material safe.
Work hard wood and plastic at low speed, other kinds of
wood should be worked at high speed. If you find out in the
course of cutting that the machine is about to stop, the speed
you have selected is too low. Suspend cutting (pull the
material forward) and set a higher speed. Repeat cutting.
If the wood edges break off or the plastic is melting on cutting
edges or the material changes colour, the speed is set too
high to the band is blunt.
•
Do not use before reading the instruction manual
carefully.
•
Observe all the safety instructions contained in the
manual.
•
Be responsible to the others.
Step-by-Step Instructions

Drew the required cutting line by a pencil on wood or

3.
Switch the saw on and cut where necessary slowly and
evenly.
4.
Switch the saw off and wait for the band to stop
completely.
5.
Take the cut material off and clean the saw table.
Troubles-Causes-Troubleshooting
CAUTION: ALWAYS CHECK THE THERMAL FUSE FIRST!
Trouble Cause
Troubleshooting
Broken saw band.
1.
The band too thin for the given material.
2.
Too big pressure on the band.
3.
Band too tensioned.
4.
Too long curved cut
1.
Fit a stronger band.
2.
Push the material to be cut smoothly not
excessively pushing it against the band let the saw
itself work.
3.
Decrease the band tension.
4.
Larger radius or smaller band.
In the course of sawing,
the band runs, will not
cut, gats crooked.
1.
Band too loose.
2.
Band guide pulleys not set up correctly.
3.
Band exposed to strong lateral load.
1.
Increase the band tension.
2.
Re-set the band guide.
3.
Replace the band
Motor slows down and
eventually stops.
1.
Saw overloaded with material to be cut.
2. Worn
band.
3.
Exhaust duct jammed with sawdust
1.
Increase the speed; do not push much pressure
on the band.
2.
Replace the band.
3.
Remove the sawdust from the case. Connect an
extraction facility or increase its power.
The band cannot placed
correctly in the guide
pulley.
1.
Pulleys not set up, faulty ball bearings.

Pulleys not set up.
3.
Worn saw band.
1.
Have the ball bearings replaced.
2.
Re-align the sawband line
3.
Replace the band.
Dust is accumulated in
the machine.
1.
In result of regular working
1.
Clean the machine regularly.
Saw band will not move
although the motor is
running.
1.
Tension block not tight.
2.
Saw band has slipped out of the guide
pulley.
3. Saw
band
broken.
1.
Switch off, unplug, tighten the tension block.
