Product Specific Applications

May be used in 

Work Positioning 

applications. Work Positioning systems 
allow a worker to be supported while in 

suspension and work freely with both hands. 
Structure must withstand loads applied in the 
directions permitted by the system of at least 
3,000 lbs. This device is designed to support the 
user when working at height and when needing 
a hands free environment. A fall arrest backup 
must be used.

Worker weight capacity range (including 
all clothing, tools, and equipment)  
is OSHA 130-420 lbs. ANSI 130-310 lbs.

 

Anchorage point must be able to hold 
a load of 5,000lbs, or meet OSHA 
requirements for twice the anticipated 
load (certified by a Qualified Person) 
and that it is fixed, preventing the device 
anchorage from moving while in use.

Anchorage points which may come into 
contact with the rope lanyard must be free from 
sharp burrs, edges, abrasive surface and/or any 
other hazards which may cause damage to the 
rope constituent. 
The job site Competent Person (CP) must 
ensure that there are sufficiently strong and 
accessible anchorage points in the working 
environment. The user should be aware at 
all times of which attachment points to use; 
if not immediate obvious they must seek 
confirmation from the CP. Always ensure that 
the means of attachment to the anchorage is 
secure before beginning work.

Competent Person Definition 

The job site safety supervisor, referred to in this 
manual as the Competent Person (CP), must be 
a highly trained and experienced person who 
is assigned by the employer to be responsible 
for all elements of the fall safety program; this 
includes, but is not limited to, program regulation, 
management, and application. The CP must be 
proficient in identifying existing and predictable 
fall hazards, and must have the authority to stop 
work to eliminate hazards or otherwise promote 
safe and compliant work practices.
