DotSurfer

2. WINDOWS 98 & 98SE, 2000, ME, XP, AND NT 4.0

2.1 INSTALLATION FOR WINDOWS 98 & 98SE, 2000, XP AND ME

You must install the software from the CD before inserting the DotSurfer
modem card!

a. Close all the other programs that are running before starting the application. Insert the

installation software CD into your CD-ROM drive. The

InstallShield Wizard

should run

automatically. If it does not, click

Start-> Run

and enter

d:\Setup.exe

. Replace d: with the

drive letter for your CD-ROM drive, if necessary.

b. The

InstallShield Wizard

will guide you through the installation.

From the

Setup

screen, choose

Typical

and click

Next>

and follow the rest of the

instructions.

Restart your computer.

Insert the DotSurfer

modem card into the PC slot of your laptop. Windows will automatically

search for and load a device driver for the DotSurfer modem card. You will see the screen
below. Once the device driver is loaded, the screen will disappear.
