esCriPtion
The
media streamer
can play back video/audio files stored on the internal
hard disk. These video and audio files must be in *. ts format during playback
so that TV sets and set-top boxes can display them.
The
transcoder
is used for the adaptation (transcoding) of non-DVB-compliant
data streams in "real time".
All common formats (mkv, avi, divx, mp4, mov, mpeg) can be transcoded into
the transport stream format (*.ts) for the media streamer.

The configuration of the device is to be done via an HTML user interface via a
PC and a standard HTML browser connected to the configuration interface.
The streams for the media streamer are transferred to the hard disk via a SFTP
access or USB interface.
They are output at the streaming interface.

If the configuration interface is con-
nected to the Internet, after the initial
setup, you can get worldwide ac-
cess to the station via an OpenVPN
connection – by PC, tablet or smart
phone with Internet access.

incurred here.
