4. Assembly and Installation

PNEG-1429

Horizontal Drive Units

15

Installing Bearing Plate onto Discharge Tube

1. Align bearing with drive shaft and slip shaft through bearing.

2. Rotate plate until bolt holes in tube flange and plate align. Secure with appropriate bolts, and

serrated flange nuts.

(See Chart below.)

3. Only secure with upper and lower four (4) bolts.

(See Figure 4D.)

The other four (4) bolts will be

installed later with the belt guard mounting brackets.

NOTE:

On the 10" and 12" systems, use the four (4) 3/8"-16 x 1" bolts in this step. The longer bolts

will be used to attach the belt guard mounting brackets in a future step.
