Switch on the camera by setting the rotary switch to any operating mode

– The LED on the back of the camera lights up in green, then in red, and
then in green again.
– The operating mode depends on the setting of the rotary switch.
Note:

« flashes in the display, you need to set the time and date (see
page 19). If the time and date are not set, »Date/Time« »00:00« and
»2002/01/01« appear in the menu.

– Settings made in the menus are lost when you switch off the device.
Note:
The camera switches off automatically if no button has been pressed in the
last 1.5 minutes.
