Converting video files to MTV format
The player only supports video files in MTV format. However, you can convert
video files from other formats into MTV format using the “MTV Video Converter
AP” transcoder software on the CD-ROM supplied. The following video formats
are recognised: AVI (*.avi), WMV (*.wmv, *.asf), MPEG1 (*.mpg), QuickTime
(*.mov, *.qt), MPEG2 (*.vob), RealMedia (*.rm, *.rmvb), MPEG4 and 3GP
(*.3gp).
The transcoder software also supports WAV format background music (*.wav),
MP3 (*.mp3) and WMA (*.wma). You can replace the original soundtrack on
the video clip with a music file.
The Codec Pack must be installed on the PC. Recommended codec: K-Lite Mega
Codec Pack (obtainable at www.free-codecs.com or www.k-lite.tk)

To open the program, double-click on »MTV Video Converter AP«.

Download a video file by clicking on »Video Input«.

Select the frame size of the input by clicking on one of the values between
»96 x 64« and »208 x 176«.

Select the bit rate of the input by clicking on one of the options between
»Sport video« and »Photo slide show (1fps)«.

Select the audio quality of the input by clicking on »Good« or »Normal«.

If required, click on »Audio Input« to download a music file, if you want to
replace the original soundtrack.

Enter a time period for the conversion (this is not necessary if you want to
convert the whole video).

Click on »MTV preview« to start (click on »Cancel preview« to cancel).

Start converting by clicking on »Start converting«.
– A percentage display shows the conversion status. Once this has finished,
you can transfer the new MTV files to the player.
