Safe Listening
To protect your hearing, follow these guidelines when you use the earphone.
•
Do not listen at extremely high volume levels. High-volume listening can
lead to permanent hearing loss.
•
Set the volume to the lowest setting before you begin listening. After you
begin listening, adjust the volume to a comfortable level.
•
Once you set the volume, do not increase it. Over time, your ears adapt to
the volume level, so a volume level that does not cause discomfort might
still damage your hearing.
Traffic Safety
Do not wear earphone while operating a motor vehicle or riding a bicycle. This
can create a traffic hazard and is illegal in some areas.
Even though some earphones are designed to let you hear some outside
sounds when listening at normal volume levels, they still present a traffic
hazard.
OPERATION
The portable radio lets you listen to MW, FM and SW band radio broadcasts.
Playing the Radio
1. Switch
BATTERY/DYNAMO
to
BATTERY
or
DYNAMO
.
Or, you can use the AC/DC adaptor (not supplied).
2. Rotate the
VOLUME
until it clicks to turn on the radio and adjust to the
desired listening level.
3. Set the
FM/MW/SW1/SW2
switch.
4. Turn the
TUNING
knob to select the desired station.
5. To turn off, turn
VOLUME
the opposite direction to turn off the radio.

For best
FM/SW
reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna.
•
The radio has a built-in
MW
antenna. For the best reception, rotate your
radio.
•
Rotate
SW FINE TUNING
for better SW tuning.
•
For best reception, do not charge your mobile phone while listening to
radio.
