Scanning a barcode for a new dictation

The DigtaScan must be connected to the portable dictation
machine, enabled and configured for the barcodes you are
using.

• Switch on the dictation machine.

• Push the slide switch to »

STOP«.

• Press the »

New

« button.

– »

SCAN

« and »

ESC

« appear in the display.

• If you do not want to scan a barcode into the dictation

accompanying note, press the »

ESC

« button and continue

with your dictation as usual.

• If you want to scan a barcode, point the barcode reader

at the barcode as pictured and press the »

SCAN

« button.

– The device now scans the code with a red laser beam.

The machine acknowledges the successful reading of the
code with a single signal tone, and the laser beam shuts
off.

– The scanned barcode appears in the display.

• If you want to include the barcode as displayed in the

dictation, press the »

« button.

• If you want to re-scan the code, press the »

SCAN

« button.

• If you do not want to include the barcode in the dictation,

press the »

ESC

« button and continue with your dictation as

usual.
