Installation and operating instructions
Note:
Before replacing the pump head, compare the
data on the nameplates of the existing and the new
pump heads.
Replacement
1. Switch off the electricity supply to the pump by
means of the external mains switch. The green
indicator light on the terminal box must be off.
2. Drain the system or close the isolating valves on
either side of the pump.
3. Remove the terminal box cover.
4. Remove the speed switch.
5. Slacken and remove the screws, pos. A and B,
. Remove the plug. Slacken and remove the
screw, pos. C, fig.
.
Single-phase pumps:
Remove the capacitor
holder, pos. A and B in fig.
Remove the terminal box.
6. Slacken and remove the four screws, pos. E in
, securing the pump head to the pump
housing. Remove the pump head.
7. Fit the new pump head.
8. Tighten the four screws diagonally by means of a
torque wrench.
Torques:
M8: 15 Nm.
M10: 22 Nm.
9. Fit the terminal box.
Note:
Use self-tapping screws only.
Make sure that the earthing screw, pos. B in fig.
and
, is screwed home to obtain good contact
between the terminal box and the motor.
Single-phase pumps:
Fit the capacitor holder,
pos. A and B in fig.
Fit the new plug supplied with the pump head
over the screw, pos. C, fig.
10. Fit the speed switch. The number of the desired
speed must be visible through the window in the
terminal box cover.
11. Fit the terminal box cover.
12. Fill the system with liquid and vent it.
The pump is self-venting.
13. If required, remove the inspection screw, pos. D
