5.2 Saving data, important notes

The batteries save data (stored results and photometer setting).
During battery change, the data in the photometer is saved for
two minutes.
If the change time exceeds two minutes, all stored data and
settings will be lost, and the procedure described in 5.1 must be
executed once.

5.3 Replacement of batteries

Fig. 2

Replacement of batteries (back)

1. Switch off the photometer.
2. Remove the vial from the sample chamber.
3. Place the photometer upside down on a clean and even

surface.

4. Unscrew the four screws (A) of the battery compartment

cover (B).

5. Lift off the battery compartment cover (B) at the notch (C).
6. Remove old batteries (D).
7. Position four new batteries.

– Ensure the correct polarity!

8. Check the seal ring (E) at the battery compartment cover (B)

and make sure that it is tight-fitting.

9. Place the battery compartment cover (B) back on the

photometer without moving the seal ring (E).

10. Tighten the screws carefully.

6. Operation

The multilingual plain-text operator prompting of the DIT-M
photometer offers high operating convenience. The user can
choose the following languages: German, English, French,
Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish.
Two operating modes can be selected:
• In normal mode all steps of the measurement are displayed.
• The expert mode for the proficient user shows shortened texts

and does not request every single step, which saves time.
