Place the upper handle on the lower handle.
Make sure they engage.
The fertiliser spreader is now assembled
and ready for use.
Spreading adjustment
The fertiliser spreader is equipped with a
10-step system that regulates the spreading
amount.
“0” is the lowest setting (no spreading) and
“10” is the highest setting.
Choose the selected setting by setting
the knob to the relevant number on the
fertiliser spreader.
For most lawn fertilisers and/or weed and
moss killers, settings 3-4 are ideal.
The actual spreading quantity depends on
various factors and can only be measured in
practice.
The spreading quantity depends on the
grain size and the nature of the material.
We recommend that you undertake a trial
run to adjust the fertiliser spreader correctly.
Do as follows:
1. Find out what quantity of fertiliser
the manufacturer recommends. This
is usually stated on the packaging (in
grams per square metre, g/m2).
2. Weigh out 200 grams of the material
and pour it into the fertiliser spreader.
3. Use the material on the lawn. Make a
note of where you start and where you
� nish.
4. Measure and calculate the total size
of the area you have covered. 0.45 m
(spreading width) x length covered, e.g.
0.45 m × 10 m = 4.5 m2.
5. Divide the quantity of material (in this
case 200 g) by the area treated (4.5 m2)
to � nd the spreading quantity in g/m2.
If the actual spreading quantity is within
10% of the recommended quantity,
the setting is � ne. If not, you must
choose another setting and repeat the
measurement procedure until the results
are as required.
Instructions
Filling
Select setting “0” to avoid the material
running out during � lling.
Fill the fertiliser spreader with the required
material.
Use
Move the fertiliser spreader to the place
where you want to spread from and adjust
the spreading quantity.
Carefully push the spreader over the area
to be treated. The rotating axle moves the
material out of the fertiliser spreader as the
spreader moves forward.
