Check that the saw chain can move freely
by pulling on it at the top of the blade while
wearing gloves while you hold the on/off
button (18) pressed in. Note! The saw must
NOT be plugged into the mains when you
do this!
Tighten the nger screw (2) again.
It is important for optimum cutting results
and to maximise the service life of the saw
chain that it is tightened correctly.
If you have tted a brand new saw chain, you
should allow the chainsaw to run freely for
2-3 minutes and then check the saw chain’s
tension.
Filling with chain oil
Note! The chainsaw is supplied without chain
oil. It must NEVER be used without chain oil!
Before each use check that there is suffi cient
chain oil in the chain oil tank!
Unscrew the cover (6) from the chain oil tank
and use a funnel to ll with 150 ml of new,
clean chain oil. Replace the cap.
Check the oil level on the oil gauge on
the chain oil tank (12) regularly and re ll if
necessary.
Check that oil is discharged by the saw chain
once it is rotating. If necessary, place a piece
of paper on the ground so that it is easier to
see the oil splashes.
If insuffi cient oil is being delivered to the
saw chain, take off the blade and remove
any dust and sawdust from around the
lubricating nozzle by the gearwheel.
Lubricate the blade’s front gearwheel by
placing a little chain oil in the lubricating
holes on the bar.
Chain brake
The chainsaw is equipped with an automatic
chain brake that stops the chain rotation if
the chainsaw kicks back.
Note! Check before use that the chain brake
is functioning correctly by pushing the
protective shield (5) forward, away from the
front handle (4).
Once the chain brake is activated, the saw
chain will stop moving round.
