Use
Cut all thick branches rst with shears before
using the trimmer.
Check that the blade is lubricated.
Hold the safety switch (3) on the support
handle (2) in by gripping it with one hand
and use the other hand to hold the rear
handle (5).
Press the on/off button (8).
The trimmer will start. If the safety switch or
on/off switch are released, the trimmer will
stop. It will take a little while for the blade to
come to a complete stop.
Move the hedge trimmer from side to side
with even movements to cut the hedge.
Always start from the bottom and side, and
repeat the movement over the same area if
the hedge is very dense.
Hold the hedge trimmer at an angle of 5-10°
when cutting horizontally.
Be very careful when cutting near walls, thick
branches, wire fencing or other obstructions.
If the blade comes into contact with an
obstruction, it can jam or kick back. Stop
the hedge trimmer immediately if the blade
jams. The blade can be damaged if it comes
into contact with metal, stone or other solid
objects.
Sparking may occur in the motor
compartment during use. This is normal and
does not indicate a defect.
