Do not modify the machine in any way!
Never use the machine if the throttle, safety
switch and the other safety devices do
not function correctly. Always follow the
maintenance instructions for the machine
under “Maintenance”.
Never start the engine without the air � lter in
place or if the silencer is defective.
Stop the engine immediately if engine
problems occur.
Stop the engine and remove the cable from
the spark plug before removing any trapped
items from the attachment and before
cleaning or maintenance.
Always wear protective gloves when
handling the attachments. Keep your body,
hands and feet well clear of the attachment’s
moving and rotating parts during use.
The attachment’s moving or rotating parts
must not be touching anything when the
engine is started.
Never hold the machine in your hand when
starting it. If the attachment hits you, you
may be seriously injured.
Never walk around with the machine while
the attachment is running or rotating.
Never put the tool down before it has
completely stopped running. The attachment
will continue to run a short time after you
release the throttle.
Always hold the machine with both hands,
one on each handle, when in use.
Do not allow other people or animals to
come within a radius of 15 meters of the
machine while it is running.
Check the machine for fuel leaks during
transport or storage.
Always secure the machine during transport
so that it cannot move, cause injury or
damage property.
Always clean the machine before storage.
Remember that noise from the machine can
prevent you from hearing warnings, etc. Be
aware of your surroundings when you are
using the machine.
Safety directions for handling fuel
The engine uses a 1:40 oil/petrol mixture.
Never use pure leaded petrol, diesel or other
fuels. Mix only two-stroke oil for garden
machinery into the petrol.
Mix the fuel in a suitable container. Ensure
the petrol and oil are well mixed before
� lling.
Mix and add the fuel in a well-ventilated area.
Never re� ll the fuel while the engine is
running or hot, as it may cause � re hazard.
Always wait until it has cooled down.
Smoking and the use of a naked � ame while
fuelling or using the machine are forbidden.
Never re� ll fuel in an enclosed space.
Always re� ll fuel outdoors.
Do not over� ll with fuel, as this can cause a
� re hazard.
Clean up any spilt fuel with a dry cloth after
refuelling.
Check that the fuel cap is tightly closed, as
fuel leaks can cause a � re hazard.
