Clamp Settings
The Model T27577 features two hold-down
clamps. Proper clamp setup ensures consistent
V-nail placement and machine function.
The vertical clamp secures the frame as a V-nail
is inserted into the workpiece. When either large
foot pedal is pressed, the pressure bar supporting
the top clamp lowers to the workpiece, securing
the frame. As the top clamp secures the frame,
a V-nail is inserted into the bottom side of the
workpiece. For best results, top clamp should be
set 10–20mm above workpiece before the foot
pedal is pressed (see
Figure 15).
The front clamp is spring-loaded and presses the
workpiece against the fence. When pressed, the
small foot pedal retracts the front clamp jaws from
the fence, allowing the workpiece to move. When
the pedal is released, the front clamp secures
the workpiece against the fence. For best results,
the front clamp should be set 3–9mm from the
workpiece (see
Figure 17).
1. Attach appropriate pressure pad to pressure
bar.
2. Position workpiece against fence.
3. Center pressure pad over workpiece, and
tighten pressure bar lock handle.
4. Press quick-release button and lower pres-
sure pad 10–20mm above workpiece (see
Figure 15).
