orbital action
the orbit selector switch is used to select
one of the four positions that determine the
orbital action of the blade.
figure 7 shows
the recommended material for each setting
and the resulting orbital action.
each position is listed with recommended
material types for cutting.
•
position 0: hard materials such as
metals with strong cutting resistance,
and where a clean cut is desired. the
blade strokes up and down in this posi-
tion, eliminating all forward oscillation.
