10.  Verify  that  the  machine  is  operating  cor-

rectly.

—When  operating  correctly,  the  machine 

runs  smoothly  with  little  or  no  vibration  or 
rubbing noises.

— investigate and correct strange or unusual 

noises  or  vibrations  before  operating  the 
machine further. always stop the machine 
and disconnect it from power before inves-
tigating or correcting potential problems.

11.  press the emergency stop button to turn the 

machine 

OFF

,  then  wait  for  the  spindle  to 

stop on its own.

12.  WithoUt resetting the emergency stop but-

ton, press the spindle motor on button. the 
machine should not start.

—if  the  machine  does  not  start,  the  emer-

gency stop button safety feature is working 
correctly.

—if  the  machine  does  start  (with  the  emer-

gency stop button pushed in), immediately 
disconnect  power  to  the  machine.  the 
emergency stop button safety feature is not 
working correctly. this safety feature must 
work properly before proceeding with regu-
lar operations. Call tech support for help.

13.  reset the emergency stop button.

14.  Without reaching into the cabinet, unlock and 

open the electrical cabinet door approximate-
ly 4", then press the spindle motor on button 
located on the control panel.

—if the machine does not start, the electrical 

cabinet  safety  switch  feature  is  working 
correctly.

—if the machine does start (with the electri-

cal  cabinet  open),  immediately  discon-
nect  power  to  the  machine.  the  electrical 
cabinet safety switch feature is not working 
correctly.  this  safety  feature  must  work 
properly  before  proceeding  with  regular 
operations. Call tech support for help.

15.  Close  and  lock  the  electrical  cabinet  door, 

start the spindle rotating, then push the emer-
gency spindle brake (see 

figure 23).

—if  the  machine  turns 

OFF

  and  the  spindle 

stops,  the  emergency  spindle  brake  is 
working properly.

—if  the  machine  does  not  turn 

OFF

  or  the 

spindle does not stop, immediately discon-
nect power to the machine. the emergency 
spindle brake safety feature is not working

properly  before  proceeding  with  regular
