Level gauge
The level gauge ( 19a) is located on
the side of the grass catcher ( 19). The
aerodynamic air guidance provided by the
flap also optimises the filling.
GO Flap open: grass catcher empty
STOP
Flap closed: grass catcher full
Mulch kit
Prior to using the mulch kit, the
lateral ejection canal has to be re-
moved (see ).
Attaching mulch kit
1. Remove the collection box
( 19), if used.
2. Lift the impact protection (6).
3. Push in the mulch kit (23). The
bracket (23a) snaps into place.
Remove mulch kit
4. Lift the impact protection (6).
5. Push in the bracket (23a) and
remove the mulch kit (23).
Lateral grass ejection
Before using the lateral grass
ejection, the mulch kit ( 23)
has to be inserted and the grass
collection box ( 19) has to be
removed.
Install lateral ejection canal
1. Unlock the lateral impact protec-
tion (14 ) by pulling the locking
element (14a) to the left and
opening the lateral impact pro-
tection (14).
2. Mount the lateral ejection chan-
nel (24) and remove the lateral
impact protection (14). It holds
the side ejection channel (24) in
position.
Installing the Starter Cord
1. Pull the safety catch (3) towards
the handle bar (1) and hold it.
2. Slowly pull the starter cord on
the starter handle (22a) towards
the bar and hook the starter
cord into the starter cord guide
(22b).
3. Release the safety catch (3).
Filling with Engine Oil and
Checking the Oil Level
Place the equipment on a level
base.
1. Unscrew the oil filler cap and dipstick
( 15) and pour oil into the tank. The
oil tank holds 0.5 l oil. Use brand oil
(e.g. SAE 30).
2. To check the oil level, wipe the dip-
stick on a clean cloth and replace it in
the tank until it stops.
3. After pulling it out, read off the oil
level on the dipstick. The oil level
should be in the marked area
between the minimum and maxi-
mum marks.
4. Wipe off any spilt oil and close
the oil filler cap ( 15).
Check the oil level every time be -
fore mowing and add oil when the
lower marking point is reached.
