Percolation cube 205 l
GreenLife percolation cube 205 l
The percolation cubes are developed specifically for use in rainwater retention and infiltration.
During choosing percolation cubes it must be ensured that these have no damages. Damaged percolation cubes may
not be installed, because may be here the required compressive strength of the percolation cube is not given.
Subsequent changes in percolation cubes such as the changes to the block size, increasing the number of holes or
the enlargement of the drainage holes in the percolation cubes are permitted only after written consent of the
manufacturer.
The percolation cubes are flammable. Therefore, the contact of the percolation cube should be avoided with open
flames and hot metal objects.
Installation guidelines
The unit for rainwater retention and percolation is usually subject to notification or authorisation. Please contact
therefore your competent authority
During installation of the percolation cubes you have to make sure that the ground is compacted and plan adequately.
If several percolation cubes will be installed together, it has to be ensured that the percolation cubes are close
together, so that there are no gaps between the cubes.
After the percolation cubes have been placed in the pit, they must be covered with suitable geotextile or separation
fleece. The geotextile has the task of plugging off the channels in the percolation cubes by soil cover prevent you from
being. When using an overlap of several geotextile min. is recommended 50 cm.
•
The minimum distance from the lower edge of the percolation cube to the highest groundwater level is
recommended to be ATV A138 one meter. The distance to the neighbour properties should be at least 3 meters.
•
Strictly to follow during the installation are the rules for occupational safety and casualty-prevention
•
The pit should be exceed the dimensions of the percolation cube by at least 0,6 meter for adequate compaction
•
The percolation cubes have to be mounted side-by-side (avoid gapping!)
•
In front of the percolation cubes we recommend the installation of a shaft or filtration shaft for percolation for
filtering / settling of contaminants.
•
The percolation cubes should get a soil cover of 50 - 80cm.
•
The percolation cubes has be covered completely on the top and side surfaces with geotextile (Class 3 with min.
200 g/m²) that no soil can penetrate the percolation cubes. In sandy soil the percolation cubes have to be places
as well on geotextile (bottom side of the percolation cube)
•
To vent the system please install at the last percolation cube a PVC pipe and an additional ventilation cap. Please
pay attention on a downward slope to the percolation cubes.
