Installation Detail
Field grown trees
Plant trees as normal, backfilling pit and firming
soil until an approximate 200mm deep hole is left
around the root areas below ground level. Fit pipe to
bracket (if not supplied assembled) by threading pipe
through both saddles. Flex pipe first, tightly, to ease
pushing through the bracket. Then place the top filler
cap (attached to bracket) to the top end of the pipe
to avoid filling and blocking with soil.
Place waterer in the pit in required position in a loop
around the root system of the tree and connect the
free end of the pipe to the bottom cap. This bottom
filler cap may be detached for flexible watering
patterns. If you have purchased the RR4 long
version, this can be threaded to the bottom of the pit
if required.
To secure the bracket firmly in position nail it to the
tree stake with a single galvanised nail then
continue to backfil with nursery soil firming
gently over the pipe.
