Before the First Use

• Read the instructions of use carefully and keep them for future reference. 
• Remove all packaging. 
• Wipe the grilling plates with a soft damp cloth and then dry them. 

Caution: 

Do not immerse the appliance, the power cord or the plug in water or any other 

liquid. 
• Unwind the power cord completely. 
• Before the first use, οperate the appliance for 10 minutes with the plates closed. 
• In case you have not cleaned the plates well, do not eat the first pieces of toast you have 
grilled. 

Note: 

When your appliance is heated for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odor. This is

normal with many heating appliances and does not affect the safety of your appliance. 

Use

• Connect the appliance to the mains socket. 
• The power and temperature indicators illuminate indicating that the appliance is heating up. 
• Keep the baking unit closed during warming up. 
• Always heat up the appliance before grilling. 
• As soon as the appliance heats up, the temperature indication light turns off. 
• You can now begin grilling. Open the plates of the appliance using the handle and place the 
sandwich on the bottom plate. 
• Close the plates making sure that the handle clip is engaged.  
• After completion of the grilling process unlock the handle clip and open the plates by the 
handle. 
• Remove the sandwich by using a flat wooden or heat resistant plastic spatula. Never use 
sharp or metal objects (i.e. knives, metal spatulas, etc.) as they will damage the nonstick 
coating of the plates. 
• If you wish to continue grilling, close the appliance again and wait until the grilling plates have
reheated sufficiently. When temperature indicator turns on again you can repeat the toasting 
process as described above. 
• Keep the baking plates closed in the intervals between grilling. 
• After completion of the grilling process unplug the appliance immediately. Keep the plates 
open in vertical position and allow the appliance to cool down completely. 

Caution: 

The grilling surfaces as well as the sides and top of the appliance get very hot. To 

avoid the event of burns, avoid any contact. Hold the appliance only by the handle to open or 
close the plates. 

Caution: 

The appliance must always be positioned horizontally during use. 

Removing the plates 

• Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before removing grilling plates. 
• Open the plates in vertical position. 
• To remove the bottom plate, press firmly the bottom plate release button and the plate will 
pop up slightly from the base. Grasp the plate with two hands and lift it out of the base. 
• To remove the upper plate, press firmly the upper plate release button and the plate will pop 
up slightly. Grasp the plate with two and lift it out of the appliance.
