Introduction

Introduction

This  Material  Rate  Manual  assists  in  the  proper
seeding and fertilizer rates for the BD7600 drill.
The  seed  rate  charts  are  based  on  cleaned,
untreated seed of average size and test weight. The
dry fertilizer chart is based on fertilizer with average
particle size and a density of 65 pounds/cubic foot.
Many  factors  will  affect  material  rates  including
foreign  material,  field  conditions,  tire  condition,  tire
pressure, and test weight. Seed rates can be affected
by  seed  treatment,  seed  size,  and  seed  weight.
Fertilizer  application  rates  vary  with  fertilizer  type,
density,  particle  size,  and  humidity.  Minor
adjustments  are  commonly  required.  Set  and
calibrate  the  rate  using  the  charts  in  this  manual.
Readjust the rate as necessary.
See your drill operator manual for setup, operation,
and  adjustment  information.  You  need  to  be
thoroughly  familiar  with  drill  operations  and
adjustments before applying the information from this
manual.


