E3.4 Safe Passenger Access
Access to the Swing Boats must ensure there is always adequate space between users and moving boats.
E3.5 Safe and Unsafe Operating Practices
There are no additional safe or unsafe operating practices.
E3.6 Unsafe Equipment Procedures
Routine maintenance as outlined in SECTION F of this manual will ensure the equipment remains in a safe
state of repair at all times.
If any part of the ride becomes unsafe during use the ride
MUST BE CLOSED IMMEDIATELY
, until it has
been made safe.
SECTION F
Maintenance Routines
Regular maintenance will ensure the life of the product.
F1 Monthly Maintenance Records
A maintenance schedule, completed to date, must be maintained for the Swing Boats. This record should be
used to enter the details of any work carried out on this ride. The description of the work should be as
comprehensive and detailed as possible.
It is in the interest of the
Operator
that all maintenance sheets are completed on a regular basis.
F2 Continuous Monitoring
It is important to visually check the swing boats, during operation times, to ensure that a safe situation exists.
F2.1 Swing Boat Assembly
It is the responsibility of the
Operator
to ensure that the Swing Boat ride is in a safe condition prior to use and
at all times during use.
Slide should be checked visually for:
Loose nuts & bolts etc.
Damage to Boats
Damage to frame
The
Operator
must ensure that the swing boats are continuously monitored and controlled by sufficient
personnel (as would be deemed necessary by best practice).
