Introduction
The GRAUPNER BELLANCA is an elegant,
ultra-lightweight
aerobatic trainer
aircraft. At the development stage we placed particular emphasis on low all-up
weight, and this is reflected in the model’s performance and handling in the air. The
BELLANCA’s flying characteristics make it the ideal model for the pilot taking his first
steps in “full-house” flying, and simple aerobatic manoeuvres are well within the
aircraft’s scope. The large wing area and the carefully selected airfoil endow the
model with very docile and neutral flying characteristics. The airframe is built primarily
of balsa wood, with plywood reinforcements at highly stressed points.
The two-part wing makes the model easy to transport; it can even be carried in a
back-pack on a bicycle. The fuselage, wing panels, tailplane and fin are supplied
ready-made and covered in multi-colour film. Little work is required to complete the
model ready to fly: all you have to do is attach the tailplane and fin, install the motor
mount and motor, the undercarriage, the receiving system and linkages.
A four-channel radio control system is sufficient for this model.
