Installation Instructions
1. Insert piston rod into the cylinder, align cylinder with
stud holes and then insert and tighten the stud screws
with the a flathead screw driver on both sides, see 6.
Studs. Install the Adjusting screw into the end of the
cylinder, see 4. Adjusting Screw.
2. Pre-thread the ML01/S04 nut and screw combo into
the center holes of the 1. Gripper.
3. Insert the screw head on the 1.Gripper into the
603C track, align with the roof vent so the Z02 screws
align with the 2. Window Bracket and the holes in the
frame of the roof vent window. Tighten the ML01/S04
screws to almost tight but are able to slide the assembly
just enough to make room to affix the Z02 screws into
place in the roof vent.
4. Tighten all the nuts and screws, you can adjust the 4.
Adjusting Screw to add pressure to the piston to help
it open more or less.
Adjustment
After allowing the autovent cylinder to reach the
temperature at which the window starts opening
hold the window slightly open and firmly turn the
adjusting screw in the direction of “LO” arrow
(clockwise) until the unit begins to support the
window without assistance. Any rise in greenhouse
temperature will now cause the window to open
wider. If further adjustment is required repeat the
process ensuring the weight of the window is taken
off the unit as before.
By turning the adjusting screw into the direction of
the “LO” arrow (clockwise) the window starts
opening at a lower temperature. If the adjusting
screw is turned in the direction of the “HI” arrow
(counter clockwise) the window will not open until
a higher temperature is reached.

Note:
Adjustment is easier if the window is pushed
slightly open as the cylinder is in position to also
allow it to sense the effects of any cooling air from
outside it will automatically react to this and adjust
the window accordingly, giving added protection to
your plants.
Technical Information
Opening temperature range adjustable between
15˚C and 25˚C (59˚F and 77˚F)
Maintenance
Lubricate all moving parts after fitting and each
subsequent spring and autumn using a light oil. Use
grease or petroleum jelly for the piston rod.
After long periods of low temperatures and at least
once a year take the weight of the window with one
hand and move the adjusting screw slowly clockwise
three or four turns and then move it anti-clockwise to
its original position.
Note:
Do Not heat more than (122˚F) 50°C
Do Not
apply excessive loads by locking or covering
window.
Do Not
attempt to dismantle the cylinder
Note:
It is recommended that the cylinder be removed
for the winter and the handles refitted.
