CAUTION
Do not use excessive force to push out the packing
assembly (39) or the u-cup seal (33) as this may
bend the fluid needle (21). Refer to Fig. 3 and 4. If
packings are difficult to remove, use a 3/16 in. plastic
rod to push them out.
9. Push the three piece packing assembly (39) out
toward the back of the gun, with the threaded end
of the fluid needle, as shown in Fig. 3.

10. Use the threaded end of the fluid needle (21) to
push out the u-cup seal (33) as shown in Fig. 4.

11. Clean the parts. Check the fluid needle (21) for
damage or excessive wear. Replace if necessary.
12. Check the baffle (11) for damage. If it is damaged,
carefully pry it off with a screwdriver and replace it.
13. Lightly lubricate the parts indicated in Fig. 5 with
lubricant 111–265.

Torque to 35–40 in-lbs (3.9–4.5 N m)
Be sure the baffle protrusion is properly inserted into
the gun insert hole before tightening the nozzle
