Daily Gun Care, Flushing, and Cleaning

14. Trigger the gun while you install the fluid nozzle

(20) with the gun wrench (35).

CAUTION

When tightening the nozzle, do not exceed 35 in-lbs
(4 N

m) torque. Over-tightening the nozzle can

cause the nozzle hex to round, can affect the spray
pattern, and is unnecessary to guarantee a seal.

15. Install the air cap ring (12) and air cap (19).

16. Dampen a soft cloth with solvent and wring-out the

excess. Point the gun down and wipe off the
outside of the gun.

17. After cleaning the gun, lubricate the following parts

with lubricant 111–265 daily:

Fluid adjustment knob threads

D

Trigger pivot pin

D

Fluid needle shaft; refer to the Service section
to remove and reinstall the needle

NOTE: See Accessories to order lubricant 111–265.
