AP mode
Printer works as a wireless access point.
Generally the wireless router is an AP, other wireless terminal (mobile phone, tablet and laptop etc)
could connect with AP. When Wi-Fi printer is in AP mode, then other wireless terminal could connect
with printer to set up network as below picture showing.

You can check whether your Wi-Fi printer connected with PC or not by following way:
Click PC START
RUN
Enter ping 192.168.123.100 –t
Install the printer driver in PC, while you’ll be requested to select printer port, please Create
Port for Wi-Fi printer by entering IP address 192.168.123.100.
Take windows driver test page to check if driver installed correctly.
2.
STA mode
Printer works as a wireless terminal.
Printer and other terminals connect with a common Wi-Fi network to realize communication and
printing.
