Muscle Toning
To tone muscle, use high resistance to increase the intensity of your workout on your exercise bike.
This will increase the strain on your leg muscles and may result in a shortened exercise duration. To
improve general fitness you may need to alter your training program.
For this workout, you should warm up and cool down as usual, but gradually increase resistance to
make your legs work harder over the course of your workout. You will have to reduce speed to
maintain your target heart rate.
Weight Loss
To use your exercise cycle for weight loss, you will have to increase your duration and reduce speed.
The longer and harder you workout the more calories you will burn. This is what is considered a
“standard workout.” As you become more fit, you will be able to increase speed and resistance while
maintaining your target heart rate.
General Use
The seat height can be adjusted by removing the adjustment knob and raising or lowering the seat.
There are seven holes allowing for a range of height adjustments for your comfort. Once the correct
height is chosen, refit the adjustment knob and tighten. The tension control knob allows you to
adjust the resistance of the pedals. High resistance increases the difficulty of pedalling, while low
resistance makes it easier. For best results set the tension while the bike is in use.
