Editing
Before starting to edit
This section explains the basic editing functions.
Please finish all editing before finalizing the disc. You cannot edit
a finalized disc.
DVD menu and Edit menu
1. Press [ PLAY] or [ GUIDER] to display the
“DVD Menu”.
2. Press [EDIT] to display the “Title Edit” menu.
Naming a title
1. Press [
] [
] to select the “Edit” icon, then
press [ENTER].
The display for entering a title name appears.
2. Select the desired characters from the
keypad, pressing [ENTER] after each entry.
Notes:
1. You can only enter up to 8 characters for a name.
3. When you finish entering the title name, press
[
] [
] [
] [
] to select “Finish”.
Protecting a title
1. Press [
] [
] to select “Protection”, then
press [ENTER].
2. Press [
] [
] to select “On”, then press
[ENTER].
Notes:
1. You can protect recorded titles on both DVD+R/RW discs.
2. When a title is protected, it cannot be erased or overwritten.
Overwrite a title
1. Press [
] [
] to select “Overwrite”, then
press [ENTER].
2. Press [
] [
] to select “On”, then press
[ENTER].
“Overwrite” mode is set.
CAUTIONS:
1. For DVD+R disc recordings each new recording is always
placed immediately after the previous recording, since the
original recordings cannot be overwritten.
2. For DVD+RW disc recordings each new recording can
either be placed immediately after the previous recording or
directly overwritten onto the selected recording title.
Erasing a title
1. Press [
] [
] to select “Erase”, then press
[ENTER].
Notes:
1. You can erase recorded titles on both DVD+R/RW discs.
2. After erasing titles on DVD+R discs, the erased space
cannot be utilized.
