2. Place the device on a dry, heat-resistant and level surface at a suf
fi
cient distance to
fl
ammable
objects. If necessary, place a heat-resistant base under the device.
3. Open the lid and if applicable, grease the baking surfaces slightly before baking for the
fi
rst
time.
4. Heat up the device: Connect it to a properly installed socket. The red power LED will illumi-
nate as soon as the device has been connected to a socket. The green power LED indicates
that the device has reached the operating temperature, Always keep the device closed when
it is heating up.
5. The device reaches its operating temperature after approximately 3 – 4 minutes when the
green power LED turns on. Please note: The green power LED turns off during further opera-
tion and then turns back on at regular intervals. This is not a malfunction, but simply indicates
that the device is heating up again or interrupting the heating process in order to maintain a
constant operating temperature.
6. Fold up the lid once the device has reached its operating temperature.
7. Place the prepared batter in the moulds in the lower baking surface. The moulds in the lower
baking surface should be adequately
fi
lled. The exact amount of batter that needs to be
fi
lled
in the baking moulds depends on the consistency of the batter and can best be determined
by performing a test baking cycle. Don't be discouraged if the
fi
rst baking attempt doesn't
turn out perfect!
8. Carefully close the lid and let the cupcakes bake for approximately 5 – 8 minutes.
9. Open the lid to check whether the cupcakes have been baked according to your wishes or
whether they need to be baked more.
10. When the cupcakes are done, use wooden or plastic kitchen utensils to carefully remove
them and place them on a suitable tray so they can cool.
11. Fill the device again in order to bake more cupcakes.
12. If you do not want to bake more cupcakes, pull the plug out of the socket and let the device
cool off completely in an open state before you clean and stow it (see chapter “Cleaning and
storage”).
Decorating cupcakes
• For best results, let the cupcakes cool off before you decorate them.
• The cupcakes can be eaten pure or they can be coated with chocolate or another
cake icing.
• You
can
fi
ll or top the cupcakes with different kinds of creams, e.g. based on cream
cheese or mascarpone.
1. Prepare the icing or cream.
2. Prepare the icing bag and select the adapter you would like to use.
3. Place the cupcakes in the enclosed paper cups.
4. Now use the icing bag to top a cupcake with icing or
fi
ll or top it with cream.
Let the icing or cream dry brie
fl
y before you decorate the cupcake in the next step.
Let your imagination decide what other decorations you need: For example, try adding colour-
ed or chocolate sprinkles for more decoration.
