Control elements

Once the glass ceramic hob is connected to the
mains (including the power failure), the appliance
will perform the process of initial synchronization
with the exterior environment, in order to provide
the most efficient sensor function and render the
best control.

After the successful accommodation to the
environment had been completed, the indicators
show the mark

"-"

 for a moment which eventually

disappears.
The sound signal confirms the appliance is now
ready for use.

Do not place any objects upon the sensor surface
during the accommodation period, otherwise you
may provoke error mode. In such cases the
process is interrupted and all indicators display
the symbol

''F''.

The hob fails to respond to

commands.

The hob is equipped with electronic sensors
which are switched on by touching or pressing the
relevant sensor surface with your fingertip.
Each sensor reaction is confirmed by the beep.

Be sure to always touch only one sensor at the
time, and for a very brief period of time
(approximately 1 second). If more than one
sensor is pressed at the same time the relevant
command is not accepted.  If the touch is
prolonged it provokes error mode and the
appliance is switched off.

Do not place any objects upon the sensor surface
(error mode) nor any hot dishes which may
damage the sensors. Keep the sensor surface
clean at all times.

Switching the hob on

When the hob is turned off all the hotplates are
off and indicator LED's are off.
To switch the hob on, touch the ON/OFF sensor.
The hob is activated and the hob #4 power
display indicates flashing

»0«

 for a period of 10

seconds. Other hob indicators are not illuminated.
In case the main ON/OFF sensor was pressed for
more than 2 seconds, the hob is switched off and
needs to be restarted. Using the

(+) or (-)

 sensor

you may select the desired cooking power in 10
seconds following the switch on or selection of a
particular hotplate.

Selecting the particular hotplate

Once the hob is switched on with the ON/OFF
sensor, activate the hotplate selection sensor to
select the next hotplate in the clockwise direction,

always starting with hotplate #4

. The indicator

flashes 10 seconds after the hotplate and its
power setting are selected. Active hotplate is
indicated by flashing power setting. By touching
the

(+)

sensor you select setting "9" and activate

automated cooking mode. Current setting may be
reduced by touching the

(-)

 sensor in short

intervals. Prolonged pressing speeds up the
setting reduction. If you switch the hotplate on by
touching the

(-)

 sensor, the power selection

indicates "4". This setting may then be increased
or reduced by pressing either

(+) or (-)

 sensor

and select the desired heating power.

If the hotplate selection sensor is touched once
again, you select the next hotplate in clockwise
direction, and this is signaled by flashing of the
indicator.

If only one hotplate is activated, by pressing the
hotplate selection sensor this hotplate is selected
directly. In case more than one hotplate is active,

the first one to be activated is always hotplate
#4.
