3.6.1 SENT
Optionally, up to two SENT inputs and four SENT outputs according to the SAE J2716 standard are available. The
Datalink Layer of the SENT Transmitter is implemented as programmable FPGA logic. The digital inputs (for SENT
Rx) or outputs (for SENT Tx) of the base board serve as a physical layer. This means that two of the 16 digital inputs
can be routed to SENT Rx. As an equivalent, four of the total of 16 digital outputs can be reconfigured to SENT Tx.
The commands for controlling the SENT functionality can be found in the
G-API
documentation in sec-
tion
IO Function
.
The SENT Interfaces are a license option for each device. An
of already delivered devices is
done via an activation code.
The SENT interfaces belong to the I/O interface. Therefore, they do not appear as separate interfaces in
GÖPEL electronic HardwareExplorer
.
